Registration for The Colony Shoreline Trail 15K and Green Dragon 5K (TC Shoreline Rrun), previously known as The Colony Half Marathon and Green Dragon Five Miler, is now open. Join us this year to run through the beautiful Shoreline Trail and Ridgepointe neighborhood in The Colony, Texas, at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023. It’s a flat course, great scenery, even better weather, free post-run beer and did we mention that quarter zips are back? Proceeds benefit Angels Fall Up to support cancer research. About 85 percent of this race will take place on The Colony's Shoreline Trail, a 3.5-mile out and back crushed granite trail that overlooks the beautiful Lake Lewisville. 

About the TC Shoreline race

The TC Shoreline Run is a 15K (9.3 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) race taking place in The Colony, Texas, a suburb north of Dallas. This volunteer-led event brings in nearly 1,000 runners each year, and proceeds benefit Angels Fall Up (AFU), an organization committed to researching and finding a cure for cancer. More than 80 percent of the 9.3-mile course runs along The Colony Shoreline Trail on beautiful Lake Lewisville. Runners will enjoy a gently undulating, crushed granite trail in a picturesque and natural setting that promises a memorable race experience for all.  

We will offer several water stops throughout the course to ensure you’re hydrated. Runners will also receive a tech quarter zip shirt and participant medal commemorating the race.

Race Day Information

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be Friday, October 20 at The Colony Recreation Center from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The address is 5151 North Colony Boulevard, The Colony, Texas, 75056. Packet pickup will also be available on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. until the race starts.

Hotels

If you're traveling for our race, we highly recommend staying at one of three hotels in The Cascades, located just a few miles from the race site. Choose from Residence Inn, Courtyard or Fairfield Inn, all by Marriott.

Race Day Swag

Quarter zips are back! The last day to be guaranteed a quarter zip is October 7. If you register after October 7, we might have an extra quarter zip for you AFTER the race, but it will be in limited quantities. Again, there is no guarantee on this, so please do not get upset with our volunteers if there are no jackets left. All registrations after October 7 will be considered NO FRILLS, meaning you only pay for your bib and medal at a discounted rate.

Race Day Parking

You will be able to park inside Stewart Creek park, but please note, if you do, you will not be able to leave until 11:00 a.m. If you are running the 5K and want to leave early, you can park at the grass field located at Pecan Crossing and North Colony just before entering the park. There will be volunteers and signs to guide you.

Start Time

Both the 15K and 5K will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. Start time is subject to change.

Miscellaneous

Strollers, headphones and dogs are okay. If you bring a dog to run, please ensure they are properly hydrated and prepared to run our course. If you are running with a stroller or dog, please be courteous and start in the back of the pack since this is a chip-timed event.

Green Dragon 5K

We dedicate the Green Dragon 5K to TC Half founder and our running friend for life, Ron Rosetti. A friend to the running community and the visionary that started our charity partner AFU. Ron's legacy lives on. 

5K runners will enjoy the same course 15K runners, entering the Shoreline Trail and turning around at the halfway point back into Stewart Creek Park.

We do not allow transfers this year due to liability.

REFUNDS

We do not allow refunds. Proceeds go to charity and all sales are final.

Charity Partner

Proceeds support cancer patients and research for cures through our designated cancer fighting nonprofit organization AFU.

We could not put on our event without the support of our local businesses in The Colony and surrounding areas. In 2022, more than 600 runners participated in our race and an additional several hundred spectators gathered to watch. Since the race’s inception, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised for AFU thanks to our event. All sponsorship contributions are tax deductible.
